Mike Holligan

Mike is a qualified Mental Health Nurse with over 30 years’ experience. Early in his career, Mike specialised in the care of patients suffering from mental health problems, acting as the Charge Nurse for an Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit, National Neuro Behavioural Rehabilitation Service.

As Clinical Services Development Manager, he had wide ranging responsibility for a large physical rehabilitation hospital site and city-wide satellite sites for both elderly frail and mental health services, before moving on to become the Clinical Advisor for Capital Planning on the development of a large mental health hospital campus in Scotland.

Mike has been involved in several other clinical projects, which although relatively small, have been significant for the organisation. These have included a full refurbishment of a ward, closing a hospital site, relocating an in-patient service to another site and changing an in-patient service to a community/ in-patient service.

Mike has had extensive involvement in the design build of a number of hospitals, including a Mental Health Rehabilitation and Low Secure Unit and hospital services.
