Tracy Skates

Tracy qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1994 and has worked both clinically and within quality improvement roles during the past 28 years. She has a determination to implement quality improvement strategies to ensure that organisations are providing a highly effective service and mitigating risk.

Her clinical knowledge and experience enables her to recognise when specialist intervention is required whilst her process redesign and project management experience enable her to be highly analytical of the care that is being delivered. This has equipped her with the skills to identify where processes can be improved, how translatable data can be gathered to provide evidence and how effective strategies can be implemented to lead positive change.

She has an excellent understanding of the principles of clinical governance and ensures she is compliant in her everyday practice. She adapts to all situations that she is faced with and embrace change. She is incredibly resilient and thrives when challenges are placed upon her as she views every challenge as an opportunity to learn. She effectively prioritises her workload and is incredibly self-motivated, which enables her to complete tasks within agreed timeframes. She maintains a high standard of record keeping as she is aware of my legal, professional and ethical responsibilities and the risks associated with inadequate or inaccurate documentation.
